Have you ever been on a dating site?
Maybe or maybe not…
Have you ever been on a social media site?
Likely you have, and you have seen lots of selfies.
Have you ever seen a photo of someone and their face is heavily shadowed or you can’t really tell what they really look like because they are wearing sunglasses or they only have a side view? Or a particular selfie just really shouldn’t have been shared? Those terrible photos can be really frustrating, especially if you are needing to meet them and have no clue what they look like. Do you wonder if the person has a good enough friend who will tell them that their picture isn’t in their best interest?
We sadly see these terrible selfies online all the time, but what if you are looking at a property? What if the photo makes the great room look like a closet because it is so dark? What if there is a tremendous mountain view and the photo shows the back deck and nothing further? Would there be any interest to move forward with the ‘date’?
Photos can make or break the sale or your home.
Good quality photography that includes the correct lighting and features the very best aspects of your home and are what entice a busy home buyer. With so many properties available, most people are spending lots of time researching properties online before they talk to their Realtor. Your great pictures cause the buyer to spend more time learning about the home, and more importantly, will get them to pick up the phone and call their Realtor to schedule a showing. The way your home is represented in photos can increase traffic, which, in return increases the opportunity for your home to sell faster.
There are so many things that can go into the fast and successful sale of a home and I can help you determine the value of your home and the ways to present it in the best light- from which home improvements to make to increase its value, to what to take off the walls to improve the potential buyer’s experience.
Selling a home is a big deal and having someone on your side that has industry experience to help you sell fast and for the value you deserve, requires just a few extra steps- such as good photos. If you are relocating to Denver and are looking for a Realtor who knows the industry and is willing to take those extra steps to make sure your home is shown in the best light, I would like to be your Realtor.
Even if you make a running joke of your own terrible selfies like Ricky Gervais, you may want to consider if that’s the effect you really want, especially when selling your home.Think of me as your best friend who will tell you about the spinach in your teeth.
